Welcome to United World College Maastricht
United World College Maastricht (UWC Maastricht) opened in September 2009 as the 13th member of the United World Colleges family. Its foundation is the result of the enthusiasm and commitment of UWC Committees in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany. Many of these committee members are former UWC students from various countries . Together with many others, they are responsible for this exciting project in the heart of Europe.
UWC Maastricht comprises the International Department of Joppenhof Primary School and the International School of Maastricht and cater for around 500 students from more than 40 nationalities. We look forward to welcoming the first 50 boarding students from all over the world in 2010. They will be selected by their respective national committees.
Until 2013, the college will be temporarily accommodated on the campus of International School Maastricht. Residential facilities will be available in the city centre. Work on a purpose built new campus will begin early 2010.
